RE:Jet fuel pricesIt is still going to be more fuel efficient to fly than it is to drive in most cases for distances >400km or so. Fuel is needed for either, but planes can go directly from point A to point B, without having to deal with traffic lights, poor roads, weather, etc ... and most do so with a lower cost per head per linear km even without all of that.
