RE:ProjectionsIt has always been the biggest risk to the sector right next to political headwinds, of oversupply.
However, my thinking has always been that alot of the weed will make its way to both legit markets and black markets alike, because the prices will be the lowest in a federally regulated country
Canada will be a net exporter of marijuana... as we always have been. Whether or not the weed is sold directly to the states or indirectly through aphria does not matter; the product will be sold.
What should really worry some investors is the margins shrinking to nill... and those who have invested with a high cost per gram will suffer tremendously.
Aphria has potential because they realized this very early on, and their entire business model is based off of cost per gram.
You also need to ask, when cannabis edibles are allowed, will they be using mid- grade or high grade bud?
My guess is mid- grade, because it wont matter. Price will matter, and aphria will have PLENTY to supply them.
All in all, alot of the "easy money" has been made off of speculation; it will be when it is legalized the big players show what they are made of, and I look highly forward to it, when Aphria shines far brighter than anyone else, and takes massive market share from the other players overpriced weed.
