Yes, you are right, we are lucky to still have a big chunk of Bombardier; and for Bombardier to be able to compete on the international level it must continue working on challenging projects that will keep the company up to date with technology.
Developping a new fighter jet woul be perfect.
Money was sent by Canada to the US to help develop the F 35; the same could be done with Bombardier; at least to see if it would be feasible.
We could do it in the 50 's ; why not now...
