Now - this is a hypothetical situation and TBP senses that a buy out offer is on the horizon, is it wise for them to manipulate the stock at a higher price before hand or continue to short it? I don't know finances well enough to be positive, but I would think a higher SP would mean the company has a higher market value resulting in a higher buy out price? Please correct me if I'm wrong.


I would answer you by a question: who has more money to manipulate the share price, a little biopharma like tbp to have a higher offer or a larger player (pharma or big lp) to pay a lower price?
