RE:RE:RE:Institutional & Fund Ownership

RE:RE:RE:Institutional & Fund OwnershipCan someone answer something for me? I have a theory and would like to test it with you all, but I’m new to investing so these are just some observations (and they may sound a bit cynical, but not impossible).

So, when volume is low like the current summer doldrums it’s easy for the big boys/market makers to manipulate share price. Hence why a lot of Mj companies have seen large drops (APH, wow). Plus, prior to legalization it was mainly retail who could get their hands on Mj shares as it was illegal or at least taboo for the banks and other funds to touch these. So, would the big boys strategy now be to shake out retail by driving the price down, increase their positions to a point where they lock up a large amount of shares, and then work off low volume again (since they’ve locked up so much) to drive it up?
