RE:Endorsing KOR Bobwins?
RE:Endorsing KOR Bobwins?Don't own KOR.to, haven't owned it. Bot NM.v because it looked like a better prospect. More ground, several potential sites like Mother Lode. But Kor.to poured the money into one site and it paid off with big increase in ounces. I doubt Korvus is going to be the one to develop Mother Lode into a mine. They are like NM, they want a big guy to take them out.
I held NM.v since 10/17 because of mgmt track record, Nevada location and numerous potential mine sites PLUS operating permit for small mine. Mgmt track record is to sell for several hundred million dollars after establishing value and ounces.
Mgmt's agreement to sell this soon, WITHOUT adding many ounces says to me that THEY were disappointed in their initial drill program. The drill program was very spread out, as they tried to find the best spot to concentrate and develop large ounces. I don't know about you but I wasn't thrilled with the reported results.
So as I was exiting, I tried to find the best explanation for NM management decision to sell AND Coeur's mgmt decision to buy NM. I think Coeur will try to buy Mother Lode. They already have a stake in Korvus, just like they did in NM.v.
The fact that there wasn't a big spike in Kor.to trading volume or price immediately after the NM purchase PR isn't my problem. I wasn't predicting when, I was just speculating that Kor looks like the logical next step for Coeur.
Good luck with NM.v or Coeurs if you decide to hold. Gold miners have been a tough play. Gold should be higher but I've been saying that for most of my investing career.
