However from the well patterns and the projection of the Wapiti, it is possible to conclude that the main orange area's eastern border is about ten miles from our western border.
The orange part, they call "incoming Montney" and the colour I cannot find a name for (anyone?), they call "incoming Mntn" (=Montney?).
I would say that what NVA is happiest about (going for 90bbl/mcf), would not give us a very warm feeling.
BBI produces double the CGR, the true sweet spot is just a little further east boys (NVA) and will not be that cheap :-)
Personally I don't like NVA very much, I believe that in the past they had some nasty remarks about us (BBI).
Anyway, the price paid is not really very representative for our lands. My estimate would be double of what Casper has provided.
Have fun.
I tend to agree with your anaylisis, but these our just subjective opinions that we have that we try and base off objective evidence. JD could also be right, we wont know until any transaction is announced.......With that said.........
These numbers of 1 to 2 billion for BBI must to be based on our tie in with tidewater which would bring our output to 10k boe/d.
But.....What if Garth decides to not put us on the auction block so soon? We have 29 well licenses Garth could easily be more patient, open up our land and bring our totals to 30k boe/d or higher. What would be the value of BBI then? 3-5 billion? with another 1400 well locations available.
This is a piss poor time to even considering a sale for bbi. Why try and sell a great asset in a weak market. I hope Garth waits until sentiment turns in the Canadian oil/gas market which still could be a few years away. And while we wait our production increases exponentially along with our value....IMO
