Beaufield does not reflect well on OsiskoI did trade Beaufiled stock for well over 20 years and was in and out of it several times. It was a true junior and gained only when holding claims nearby active area plays such as here.
Once Osisko took a position in Beaufield it was IMO doomed. I do believe it was manipulated and possibly intentionally mismanaged to decrease its share price and along with it shareholder value. The news release of the takeover offering a premium on the share price is at best a very bad joke.
For disclosure, I did hold some Beaufield until as recently as last Fall but saw the writing on the wall and have held no shares since. I took up a position in Osisko fairly recently and believe that this is where the results will be permitted to reflect well on the company and share price eventually.
This deal though makes me wonder as to the how the same players that failed Beaufield shareholders will be any more ethical or dilligent in protecting and enhancing shareholders value in Osisko.
I do happen to believe in the area play and for now Osisko as the key player. That gives me some peace of mind for now at least. Doesn't mean I like what I am seeing though.
