Sorry "sport" but you are dead wrong. There are no economic process which directly converts NG to hydrogen. The universally used method is Steam-Methane reforming. The upgrading and refining of heavy oils have massive need or hydogen and all use S-M refofming. Steam and NGas (methane) is heated to high temperatures because the reaction is endotherrmic and then passes through a catalyst bed (nickle based) to produce CO (cabon monoxide) and hydrogren. The CO is then conbined with water in the classic water shft reaction to produce additional hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Ask any high school chemistry student to do an overall reaction balance and you will find that 50% of the hydrogen is produced from water (steam). Hope this helps your understanding of what happens. GLTA.
