RE:An overvalued rocket ship... ACB and 48 North are ...Another ill-informed investor who purchased cannabis stocks based on a low price rather than future potential. The more I look at Aurora the more I think it is going to be the sad story of the industry. I just finished watching an interview with Cam and his body language, mannerisms and tone of voice do not exude confidence. When he speaks it doesn't sound like he's trying to educate the interviewer and the people watching, it's more like he's trying to convince himself. He is so focused on low cost production which at this stage of the game is semi important but in the future we all know where the price of raw cannabis is going. To be focused so much on the low cost production versus the finished goods is the mistake that is going to be the final nail in the coffin for that company.
Taking a look at the retail strategy for Canada, Aurora bought a 25% stake in alcanna and is using them as the retail platform for the company. so while Aurora is so focused on low cost production and saving $0.05 a gram they're giving up 75% of the retail mark-up. Canopy on the other hand has purchased Hiku outright and is using hikus retail brand across the country as well as canopy branded retail stores. Canopy will capture 100% of the retail mark-up in their stores versus 25% for Aurora. Let's not forget that as far as retail stores go canopy is putting a Aurora to bed there as well.
for those of you that have been on this board for a while, you know what I do for a living and I can tell you that cam does not give me any sense of confidence in his belief in what he is saying. my only investment in the Cannabis space is in canopy growth, but if I was to invest in another company Aurora would be way down the list and aphria would probably be another investment for me but I would have to do some serious due diligence on them. So my warning to everyone is to stay away from Aurora. It is a disaster waiting to happen. They have been reckless in their acquisitions and they did not accomplish their goal of becoming number one in the industry after spending multi billions, with a B, of dollars. Molson Coors took a pass on Aurora and you have to ask yourself why. Molson Coors took a look at their business, took a look at their books and then chose a different path. Don't try to second-guess the lawyers and financial analyst that molson's used to make their decision. They have access to a lot more information then we do.
as always good luck to the Longs on this board, I wish you all continued success.
NikoDoughski wrote: about to wake up.  48 North is about to explode while Canopy is way overvalued and will probably be taken over by the low beta Constellation Brand co, then you won't get much shareholder value as those shares never move.

ACB and 48 North, super high beta and haven't even said GOOD MORNING yet.

Focus on quality over quantity, Weed (canopy) doesn't get it but were first in the biz and got the hook-up by Justin Trudeau.  They won't last.

The future is ACB and 48 North.

Come join us for real shareholder value.

In the meantime, sell Canopy as fast as u can cuz this baby just ain't worth it and I don't want to see you all lose your hardearned money;  be like Doughski and sell high***, buy German toys and reinvest the money into undervalue, not speculative nonsense like Canopy.

Peace
