RE:RE:OSPREY GOLD INTERCEPT 8.0 METERS OF 1.2 G/T GOLD AT SURFACEHmmmm another reason for Agb to take us out....Eric Coffin mentioned on another board
(part 1) Potentially pretty important, is the word "argillite" in the headline. Atlantic Gold's success is based on finding disseminated gold zones in host argillites that allow for profitable open pit extraction. It's never been clear why they have them or if they exist anywhere else in the belt. I've never seen an explanation for why they exist in the Moose River Consolidated area. AGB might know but, obviously, they're not going to say if they do for competitive reasons. Caribou trenching is the first evidence I know of that someone else may have zones like that. I don't expect traders to get excited about the grades reported today but this could be a significant event.Let's hope so.
(part 2) As I said above, no one seems to know why Atlantic has disseminated, or at least more disseminated, zones rather than narrow high grade veins with not a lot between them which is what you get in most of the Meguma Terrain. Cooper told me even the govt. geos find the "AGB Style" stuff a head scratcher. Osprey seems to have some, and the zone is still open at both ends of the trench. Don't know yet if they are seeing anything, either in the visuals or the chemistry that will help them chase this or find more of it on the property or at Goldenville/Miller Lake where there are also indications they may have some. A targeting tool would be nice!
