The Center for the Defense of the Constitution (Cedecon), urges the magistrates of the Constitutional Court (CC), to speedily resolve cases of national transcendence "whose deadlines have expired so much, as their backwardness harms the rule of law" .
Through a statement, the Cedecon states that all cases must be resolved in time, but speed up the rulings when dealing with matters of national importance.
"Committed to the prevalence of the Rule of Law, the need for legal certainty and the defense of the Constitution", this entity states:
"Your concern because the Constitutional Court in cases of equal importance to the national transcendence, has acted unevenly, resolving some issues in very short times and other matters of equal or greater importance, has not yet resolved, incurring a delay unjustified. "
"It is the responsibility of the magistrates of the Constitutional Court, in the exercise of their functions, not to incur unjustified delays in certain cases that, by not resolving them and dealing with matters of national importance, generate serious economic and social effects, as well as a attrition and lack of credibility and impartiality in the Constitutional Court ".

The case of the San Rafael Minera
One of the files that the magistrates of the Constitutional Court has not yet resolved is that related to the Minera San Rafael. The company suspended its operations after a ruling by the country's courts, which has left 700 people unemployed.
"The company has maintained compliance with all labor obligations with its employees, during 411 days (13 months), of operations stoppage plus 300 days (9 months), in which the CC keeps the case in uncertainty despite being the Court itself issued a macro sentence, which even the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ), already used to resolve this same case in September of last year. The ruling of the Supreme Court ordered the Ministry of Energy and Mines to carry out the consultation according to the (me- UN) Convention 169, and authorized the mine to carry out operations (me- Till resolved, which didn't happen).
