Blunderous Air Canada: Loot Left Behind From Heist 2.0 Air Canada and its gang of thieves (oops "consortium") successfully completed Heist 2.0 by agreeing to acquire Aeroplan and it approx. 5 million members.
However, Air Canada (The Joker) and its gang of fools left behind some of the best loot.
As has been mentioned before, Air Canada is an airline…(so it claims)
… and NOT a data analytics company.
The loyalty program industry will undergo disruption very soon, and Air Canada does not have the expertise or vision to navigate through the storm clouds of disruption.
Let's see how long it will take Blunderous Air Canada, flying high and blind from this acquisition of Aeroplan, before it crash lands.
If Air Canada and consortium want to re-consider and acquire Aimia instead (Heist 3.0 for all the loot), here is a proposed price list:
Price per share to acquire Aimia with associated perks:
Price/Share Perk
$6.00 Final Sale, take these shares, get the hell out of here, and don't come back!
$7.00 A contrived smile from Aimia shareholders
$8.00 A genuine smile, and a handshake
$9.00 A genuine smile, a handshake, and some small talk
$10.00 Kiss and make up
$12.00 "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship"
Keep in mind that with this Heist 3.0, Air Canada is welcome to acquire whatever it wants, ranging from 1% to 100% of Aimia.
Ideally, Air Canada would acquire 49%, although it is understandable if it would prefer to acquire 51% (yikes!).
Enjoy!
