I think QH has pegged conglomerate deposition at 2.78 or older. So the Mt. Flora impact would be what, 300my later? Unlikely to be the cause of the uplifiting period associated with the deposition, imo. Happy to be proved wrong though. Could easily be another impact not yet identified too.
The impact would of course move things around, so still would be a factor, and could concentrate the gold in spots, just doesn't need to be directly part of the precipitation scenario.
If you're thinking of the impact being associated with the volcanics too, then I dunno. I tried digging up an association before. Here's a bunch of dates, and attempt at correlation.
