People used to ask, what's the value of a license from Health Canada to cultivate and sell medical cannabis?

OK, so what's the value? Well, if you want to answer that question for yourself, take a look at which companies were awarded supplier contracts with BC and Ontario - 31 companies in BC and 26 in Ontario. Compare those companies to the list of Authorized licensed producers of cannabis for medical purposes on the Health Canada website.

Did any company without a cultivation and sales license get a contract? What about those 50-60 companies with cultivation-only licenses? How'd they do? Can you say "F-ck all"?

Hmm, so maybe those licenses that THC has are worth something after all, maybe they're actually worth A LOT, like many, many millions of dollars, and right now, today, it remains illegal to promote the recreational use of cannabis, so why would you want to risk your most valuable asset by saying anything that could be interpreted as promotion?

Companies have to be careful not to violate current (not future) legislation or risk losing their HC licenses. What would it do to THC's stock price if we heard on Monday that HC has revoked or suspended any of THC's licenses because they violated the law by unacceptably promoting their products? They'd lose the ability to supply BC and Ontario. The stock price would go to a nickel. Would it be worth it? Or is it better to be safe than sorry until October 17?

Come on folks, we hear a lot of whining on this board. The fact is, on my main, home PC (the one I'm using now), I have one Browser (Firefox) that I use exclusively for browsing Stockhouse. When I launch Firefox, it automatically opens 10 tabs to 10 different Stockhouse chat boards. On almost every one of those boards, I hear the same noise. People are complaining about company management, the stock price, the lack of results, why didnt I invest in WEED, blah, blah, blah. Let's face it, no one can get rich fast enough.

As for me, I'm just sitting back and waiting, wondering whether it will be next week, September, October, November, December, but definitely no later than January that we're all very happy. Today I was in the checkout line at Metro, what do I see? A special edition of TIME Magazine, fercrissakes, who have done an entire edition on the social, cultural, economic change that's coming as a result of the legalization of recreational marijuana. It's frickin' huge. Diageo, the biggest booze company in the world, is about to pick off APH or ACB. There are 7 other booze companies who are coming next, not to mention pharma and tobacco.

Imagine what happens to this market when Diageo announces on Monday they're buying APH for 4 billion... it will spark a feeding frenzy and LP's are going to be picked off fast. It's not a question of if, it's only a question of when, and IMO, when is soon.

I'm so happy APH was my safe bet and THC is my dark horse. Good times ahead for the sector. Thanks droid for the reminder.
