RE:Deal with.....pharma Just to add: Canopy got 5 BIL dollars - huge. Gave up what 25 - 30% of the company? Fine.
Consider how Aurora has positioned itself, and how much of an investment it needs:
Already has massive production capacity being completed with all new, state of the art facilities which will keep costs down. Canopy will need retrofits etc.
Already has massive European footprint including said grow facilities.
Has picks and shovels in greenhouses, extraction tech and waste disposal.
Has started improving already solid front in patentd and new products (softgel caps latest)
So what do we need cash for? Soldification of branding and marketing more than anything, I think. And cash for accelerated development in the beverage and edibles markets along with marketing of eventual products.
So... I would expect a smaller first investment from alcohol if it happens - more similar to the first investment Constellation did with Canopy; perhaps 200 - 750 million. All of it into the development and marketing of beverage.
Otherwise, I expect big pharma to jump in in a very big way (2 billion minimum) IF ACB executes in the continued growth of medical and patents/med products.
Either way, great things ahead if the ball is not dropped.
