Try thinking like DD

Try thinking like DDI want to make clear that I opposed the KDI deal - but that's over. It's history and there is nothing we can do about it. IT'S A SUNK COST.

If I'm DD, the first thing I want is to be sure that DeBes is not cheating me on the diamond sorting and splitting.

The second thing I want is for the company not to be run by cheaters, or incompetent fools. I want top managers who make wise decisions.

The third thing I want is the best possible return on my investment.

Now those are the exact same things that I as a tiny shareholder want. So that leads me to think that DD and I are pretty much on the same page. I don't think he has any love for me, and perhaps he would like to be rid of me, but I think he's stuck with me and he knows it.

Anyway, you people who are carping and bitshing about management and their incompetency/dishonesty: Do you really think DD would put up with that kind of $hit?

Do you think that DD tolerates incompetency and dishonesty running his company? Do you think he wants that?

WRT these issues, I don't think DD is gonna let that happen.

He may want to screw you (and me) in other ways, I don't know, but I don't think he wants to do it with bad management - just the opposite.

Frankly, I think that we are far luckier than we realize in having DD watching the till - much better than a lot of fund managers who could care less.

How differently would you NOW run this company if you were DD? What is he doing wrong?

(And please don't beat the KDI dead horse.)
