TGOD to grow Mums flowers instead..

TGOD to grow Mums flowers instead..City council denied an application in July from federally licensed grower The Green Organic Dutchman to build a 130,000-square-foot greenhouse for medical marijuana on Jerseyville Road. City planners had recommended the project despite a bylaw size limit of 24,000 square feet for rural pot production.
The company had previously told shareholders it would have a functional, 130,000-square-foot growing facility in Hamilton by spring 2019.

Ancaster Coun. Lloyd Ferguson, a vocal opponent of the planned big cannabis greenhouse, said he found the application to build instead for potted mums “misleading.”

“Obviously they are in the marijuana business, not the potted mums business,” he said. “All I can say is they are taking a big risk. What will they do with that building if they lose their appeal?”
