For the birds?I notice a lot of people confused/worried about Nex showing up to a birders convention or whatever it was exactly. Why? They're offering a a lighter more compact way for naturalists to get close up shots of there favorite animals; and it's great in low light to boot (the majority of critters being more active during low light hours). When they announced the general capabilities of the new device the very first thing I thought was, take this to a birders convention. No kidding. Why? A fairly significant portion of serious birders are wealthy and retired. They each can dump thousands into camera equiptment. That's why they're the very first demograhic they've approached. They have disposable income; and a need for a quality, zoomable, and portable quick shot device. Oh, and there's an estimated 18 million active (will travel to view a bird) birders in the U.S alone that spend an estimated 26 billion on equiptment. They can put these in ever sporting goods\outdoor store and every sporting goods\outdoor section of big box stores. Take it on a hike, take it to your kids ball game, take it to a concert. There is no guarantee that this device will be a hit, but I'm gonna buy one, so there's the first sale ;)
