Iconic Minerals Ltd. is a mineral exploration company focused on acquiring and exploring gold and lithium properties in Nevada and Canada. The Company holds highly prospective gold exploration properties in Nevada with the potential to host both Carlin-type and Round Mountain style gold/silver deposits. The Company, through option agreements, holds 50% interests in the New Pass and Midas South properties located in Nevada. The New Pass Gold Property consisting of about 107 unpatented mineral claims is located in Eastern Churchill County, Nevada. The Midas South property is located in the Ivanhoe Mining District, four miles northwest of the Hollister Deposit. Its lithium properties include Smith Creek Lithium Property and Grass Valley Property. In Smith Creek Lithium Property, it controls about 808 placer claims totaling 25.25 square miles over a major gravity low. The Grass Valley Property is a lithium exploration project consisting of approximately 997 placer claims.

So I can just assume that they couldn't believe the probes and they wanted to see with their own eyes before to come up to the world with the 43-101? :)

I do like the drilling program extension to revise later on the 43-101
Some parts I like:

GRE also visited the area south of the Project's drill holes and studied a broad region of linear surface lithium highs found by surface grid salt sampling.

An NI 43-101 resource report can be expected to be completed by GRE in 3-5 weeks.

Results from St-Georges tests are estimated for completion within five weeks. - at least now we have something to look for

Final exploration plans are being formulated for five 90 meters (300 feet) deep drill holes to test shallow lithium-rich sediments

In addition to the ongoing metallurgical work and shallow drilling the longer-term plan is to drill one deep core hole up to 1,200 meters (4,000 feet) deep to determine the vertical extent of the lithium-rich sediments. After the core hole is drilled, ten to fifteen deep mud-rotary holes, spaced roughly 1.6 km (1.0 miles) apart, are planned to greatly expand the soon to be reported resource.
