It will only add gas to the fire. All majors have to get into this space because they can't afford to let others get a head start. Constellation is small potatoes. They came in first and hard because they needed to in order to get first crack at the market leader and big risks pay big dividends. Good for them. Next in will pay more and so on.
We are an absolute SCREAMING buy. If it isn't Diageo it will be InBev...if not them it will be Pharma or Tobacco or someone who needs to be in the space and is willing to pay. Vic won't do ok deals when he is in a position of strength. Both TRST and APH have excellent books. International conglomerates have one thing in common...they KNOW buisness and they KNOW FINANCES. Our 3 top dogs are accountants. Jacob, Vic and Carl. We are in the drivers seat. We will get a fantastic valuation and a deal that adds value over the LONG TERM. Not like Linton who will be gone within a year because he is a PROMOTER...and a damn good one at that! When I invest, I'd love to make all the money right away. What is MORE important is that the reason for my investment choice is solid because you don't just make one investment in your life. You continue to invest and if you choose companies based on hype and bravado you will in many cases, lose your shirt.
Aphria has lagged behind Tilray, ACB, Cronos and Weed. Our valuation is less. What matter is our value...not valuation. APHRIA is the choice of the smart investor who understands finance. In the end APHRIA will thrive no matter what because it is being run as a business that is trying to make a profit. This is not a stock play only. Tilray is a stock play with decent assets but not anywhere close to a value at these levels.
I'lll be here in October and again next October. Maybe I will have sold a few shares by then because we'll be over $40 and you have to take a few dollars off the table at some point....however, I will let a portion of my shares ride for a long while because nothing I can do at work can generate the multiple that Aphria can when they are firing on all cylinders. As mentioned by one of our excellent posters that probably won't be until 4th quarter 2019. Either way we are riding high and I for one am estatic.
