Gas supply

Gas supplyEven if LNG doesn’t come to pass(another topic) I think gas will be pinched in the first cold snap of the winter season. The only supply comes as a by product from liquids which is probably a lot, but there are no gas wells being drilled. There are no gas wells that will be spudded until they can have a 2 year payback. There are all kinds of power plants being switched to gas from coal in ab and sask. Alberta used 54% of its gas prodution in 2015 and with the depletion of gas wells and increased demand(eg: the lunacy of electric cars) there will be a pinch point where companies like bnp will get paid to drill gas wells. Btw there is a new power grid being constructed from the Cresant point area near Swift Current half way across sask to tie into power from estevan. I think they are building a gas powered gen station there.
