What's the downside to waiting?

What's the downside to waiting?From what I can see the only downside would be to not reinvest into something else right away.
I'd be curious as to the side deal management has attained to endorse this sale.
Definitely not happy about how this has played out and I'll be holding out as long as possible.
Being forced out of my position isn't what I had bought into this for.
