RE:RE:Kairos Minerals Limited - Hits Paydirt Kairos’ Executive Chairman, Terry Topping:
“This is a really significant discovery, both for Kairos and for the Pilbara region. The nuggets were recovered within colluvium adjacent to the prospective unconformity contact of Mount Roe Basalt/Conglomerate and basement and were
scattered over an area of less than 150 m by 50 m. The nuggets were found utilizing a metal detector and
some have a distinctive ‘watermelon seed’ shape similar to those found throughout the Pilbara in similar horizons.”
256 gold nuggets weighing 254 grams (8.2oz) in less than 150 m x 50 m i.e. less than 7,500 sq m.
A visual: a standard pro soccer field (football pitch) is 7,140 sq m. See wiki image & note here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_pitch#/media/File:Football_pitch_metric_and_imperial.svg Say one nugget per 10 m x 2.8 m.
8.2 ounces of nuggets is approx $10,000 US of gold (rounded up).
Imagine going to a soccer stadium & spotting 256 gold nuggets worth $10,000. Anyone game for a stadium riot?
