Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. The " deal "?I hope this isn't the Diageo deal that the market has been all abuzz about for weeks? All weekend the CannTrust board has been ventilating that they will be the anointed. If this in fact is " the deal " than if I was a TRST shareholder I sure wouldn't be too happy with an offer that is below the market sp.

On the subject of multi-nationals jumping in with fistfuls of money, that may come later. I sense we're still in a test period and the sector may need a few quarters to separate the wheat from the chaff. The big conglomerates may want to see which horses have the legs and which management teams seem to have their act together before investing billions in that company. Hope Constellation Brands wasn't a fluke for now but the market wasn't expecting such an investment at the time. Now its become a me too scenario for the monster deal.
