The answer has to be that the Canadian industry is far more advanced, Canadian companies are bigger and better organized with ISO and GMP certifications, Canuck pot companies already have internatonal operations, etc., etc., etc. We're bigger, we're better, we're more advanced, and we're doing things that big booze likes.
So what's the point? I think the point is that this is where I want to invest my money. And lots and lots of international investors are going to figure this out soon as well. We've already had Constellation make a big move, wait until the news of Coke, Diageo, and a couple others making moves catches the attention of retail investors around the world. Canadian investors who recognized the potential of this home-grown industry and got in early are going to be richly rewarded, in my opinion. GLTA!
‘I think you’re right. With (big) American companies investing north of the border, I wonder if this will catch the eye of Trump’s government and shift their position on federal legalization in the states. With the stories of Canadians (related to pot usage and investments) being turned away at the border and (his) insistence of companies repatriating business and investments back to the states, I only hope the American dollars keep flowing...
