It was a "small equation" to purchase. If I remember correctly, it bleeds close to a million dollars per month.

Solar was a POLITICAL purchase. They bought it CHEAP because it was already losing money. They also accumulated its debt obligations as well as contractual obligations to maintain the equipment they sold.

At the time they purchased Solar, some of the states they operate in were obligated by law to purchase any EXTRA electricity generated by the privately owned panels. Supposedly the power was fed back into the passing grid if available. Not sure what that entailed. It would need to convert Direct Current to Alternating Current.

What seems to have escaped Crius management at the time was that several law suits were already in place, by other generators, to have the current subsidy given to solar installations removed and to eliminate the mandatory purchase of their excess electricity.

SOLAR LOST and has been slowly bleeding out ever since.

GLTA the good folks here.
