RE:RE:RE:No difference in price of A and B sharesGlass,
As I said in my first post, I bought A shares after I sold a bunch of B shares to avoid any problems with Revenu Canada regarding the 30 day rule. Now I am ready to buy back B shares but the volume of A shares is so low that I have to do it over a numbers of transactions.
As to your second point, I have serious doubt that the family will ever be selling their A shares. Bombardier almost went broke a few years back and the company realy needed financial support from both the Quebec and Federal Government over a year ago and they refuse to let go of the dual share structure, Financially speaking Bombardier is now doing much better and share prices if s going up. I do not foresee the family selling any A shares in the foreseable future.
Still, you are right regarding buying A shares for tax purposes. I am just wondering when considering the limitations with buying and selling A shares if it does not far outweight the benefits of avoiding tax issues with RCA
