RE:RE:Something goes on!It may be even better than I tought
The below is what I found and use for numbers but just realized that is extract from a 2004 document - see the link below.
some price data, converted from euros per metric ton, were for natural IoPs, ex-works, about $232 to $378 per metric ton; for high-quality, high-lamellar content micaceous iron oxide (mIo) from Austria, free on board, about $732 to $976 per ton; and for milled mIo, ex-works europe, about $549 to $732 per ton (o' ... https://minerals.usgs.gov/minerals/pubs/commodity/iron_oxide/ironpmyb04.pdf This is another piece of information and looks liek in early 2017 the prices just went up big time and is not only this company mentioned below but others too. Prices are raised by USD 150 per metric ton across all colors and product forms. https://www.cathayindustries.com/2017/03/01/cathay-industries-announces-price-increase-for-iron-oxide-pigments/ Viosimiri wrote: "Fanchem Ltd, a subsidiary of PVS Chemical Inc., a Michigan-based private corporation..." - see below link for PVS https://www.pvschemicals.com/
Now we know how much bi-product we will produce and just try to figure out the prices and I found it is between 250-400 per metric ton. Someone has better information to share. If we sell 190 000 tonnes at let's say an average of 300 dollars per metric ton that is like 57 mill anual sales of bi-product - not bad at all.
The agreement addresses a long-term arrangement for the sale and marketing of iron chloride, iron sulfate, iron oxide and magnesium sulfate which result from the optimized process for manufacture of pigment grade TiO2. The total volume of by-products from the Argex 100,000 tonnes TiO2 facility will exceed 190,000 tonnes per year.
