Property site visit.
Property site visit.I just returned from a few days on the property and thought I would provide my perspective.
First off, I am a sizable shareholder of DNI and have brought in a number of investors including one that now controls over 10% of the company. That investor also attended this site visit along with a couple of DNI's technical team members, Director Keith Minty and David Salari. These two very seasoned engineer's with hands on experience in building graphite mines and processing plants was a great bonus for us to have along.
I was looking forward to this trip to get my own perspective of the project and DNI’s capabilities of making it come together.
I have hands on experience in running mining exploration in third world countries and know the importance of stickhandling numerous potential pitfalls and community issues that tend to come up as projects move forward.
I can honestly say that I was taken back at the expertise shown by Dan and his local team and their strong relationship with the communities.
The project’s show exceptionally well and at both main communities our group was met by the locals and their leaders with welcoming smiles and a strong willingness to work with the company. After reading some of the negative comments I have seen around here I had a few concerns that I was not been fed the full story, but I am now more than ever convinced that Dan has developed a strong trust with the communities that are ready to work and create the win /win Dan envisions for his shareholders and the communities where the projects are located.
One of the leaders actually joined Dan and me for a hike through thick brush to show me one of numerous historic production zones on this vast 65 square km property. In fact, he asked for a picture with Dan with his arm around Dan for his home.
The majority of the roadways through the properties have exposed graphite in the road cuts and you can easily pick up extremely large flakes of graphite close to the size of a dime. The zones identified and drilled so far are maybe 3% of their property and fine graphite is clearly evident in the red saprolite clay / soil pretty much everywhere I was walking. We visited bulk sample locations where thick seems of obvious high grade material was present.
I was listening in to the technical team discussing the plan forward and they clearly see no impediments to a smooth transition to production.
Additionally, I met the contractor who has assisted DNI on many fronts, including supplying the heavy equipment and it is clear he is on exceptional terms with the company and is ready willing and able to assist in any way he can. This is a very valuable asset to DNI as he has numerous businesses in country and is extremely well connected to get things done right the first time and who to avoid, etc.
Bottom line is this project is going into production and I am more confident now that we have the team to make it happen quickly and cost effectively.
I will try to put a link together with some photos and video from my visit.
