Shear Zones and Faults are very related and can go together, both help produce gold depsits.   Beta Hunt has 4 known of Shear Zones covering 8km (see map below).  There is a major open pit gold mine (Redoubable, millions of oz) where one reached the surface, so we know that one (East Alpha) transported massive amount of gold thru RNC's property below to it.

In a mine you can have a fault with slickensides on both sides that is as smooth as glass, both sides polishes each other and the wall rock is deformed little   Sometimes can be 1/8" wide, and sometimes with 5 foot wide quartz vein inbetween.  Other times the wall rock is sheared, torn, fractured from the tension caused during earthquake movement on the fault. That can be 1 foot or even 250 feet across.   Beta Hunt has such Shear zones (4 or them, each 2km long = 8kms of them).

Shears zones are associated with coarse gold, big nuggets, and they can occur without quartz.  Chris Ralph, who I know, is a known gold geology expert, interviewed a lot.  He has a book with funny title  that is the best gold geology overview book know of.  Here it is:  https://www.amazon.com/Fists-Full-Gold-Chris-Ralph/dp/0984269207

He makes a good case for shear zones as the best predictor of gold nuggets.

A key to this may be that during an earthquake the pressure in the shear zone can drop, from say 2500psi to 50 psi.  This article proposes that gold nuggets can be formed in less than a second! During those pressure drops.  https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/earthquakes-make-gold-veins-in-an-instant/

Its like a shaken Coke can, open it (pressure drop) and the CO2 comes out of solution like crazy (all over you). In a shear zone down 2,000 feet the same thing can happen, except solid gold instead of CO2 comes out of solution.  Pressure is required to keep the gold in solution, when pressure drops the gold transitions to a solid from a liquid in solution.

Next step is that things like sulfur help dissolve the gold at remarkably low temps like 500F.  The gold is in hydrothermal solutions (think hot springs) and what do you smell at hot springs? Sulfur.  Iron reacts with gold rich water/sulfur solutions and drops gold out.  The Pyrictic sediments have a lot of iron in them.

So the Shears Zones+Earthquake pressure drops+Pyritic Sediments, create the perfect setup for big gold nuggets.

Hope this is helpful to investors here.  One thing it indicates is that the conditions are similar over the 8km of intersections and there may be more shear zones they do not even know about, as no drilling between two shear zones on right of geo map has been done

Cheers.
