Ahhhh....the Carnival. Pretty lights , candy floss, merry go rounds, the salt and pepper shaker, the scrambler,the roller coaster and lest we forget the CLOWNS . Most clowns were tall , had a red bulbous nose, extra large shoes that made them walk funny. Sometimes they were on stilts , to fool and trick you into thinking  they were much taller and bigger than they actually were. Being a youngster , it was tough when you were just trying to fit in  and went up to the "you need to be this tall to go on this ride"  painted picture , stood up on your tippy toes and tried so hard to be allowed on , but were politely turned away because you were too SHORT. That memory of that damaging moment in time of trying to realize your place in the world. Most eventually found their place in the world, (longs) some were unsure (weak hands) And some were questioning their ability to fit in (long, but unsure) and some were downright negative , with a damaged childhood and a need to be right even when they knew they weren`t.

 The best time of the carnival, was under the big top. There, you saw the clowns in their controlled environment, riding their funny little cars, blowing up balloons , walking invisible dogs, anything to distract the audience as the big show was being prepared.

 The main event was something to remember , well planned, thought out and executed with accuracy.
