RE:Not Freaking Out Because it is Way Early
RE:Not Freaking Out Because it is Way EarlyHow on earth do you arrive at half a billion dollars? They've so far reported 24,000oz recovered, which they put a value of $38m on (=$1,583/oz - so I presume that's C$ rather than US$). Yes, the specimens should make a premium to their gold value, but I can't imagine anything like the scale of premium you suggest.
My average is 28c and I too will continue to hold, pending news - but no need to ramp with crazy numbers.
Initially the key news will be the extent of mineralisation in the 200m of strike. I note that Haywood were pretty pessimistic about what they expect to be in the rest of those 200m - they thought the end at the 14 level was likely to be at a grade of "only" 10s of g per tonne (rather than oz/tonne). Most importantly Haywood report that they expect the company to drill & sample the 200m, rather than just mine it out, which is what I had thought they would do.
Neverthless, even if it is 10s of g/tonne, that's still a highly commercial grade (vastly better than the 3g/tonne they've been mining so far) and then it's just a question of how much of that material is in the mine, with potential "jewel boxes" as a bonus.
I await news on further recoveries/auction results and the result of drilling with a very keen interest - but let's not be unrealistic.
