PHOTON CONTROL ANNOUNCES RAPID PROTOTYPING PROGRAM
Photon Control Inc. has introduced a rapid prototyping program for its fibre optic sensor product lines.
This new program reduces lead times for producing prototype sensors to an industry best of four to six weeks, a reduction of over 40% from current lead times. The program has been successfully demonstrated on several fiber optic temperature sensors for top-tier wafer fabrication equipment suppliers, with the prototypes delivered ahead of plan.
"We are thrilled to offer this new Rapid Prototyping capability to our customers for their critical development programs," said Scott Edmonds, Chief Executive Officer. "Our Rapid Prototyping program is designed to support our customers' efforts to reduce time-to-market for their most advanced products and it highlights our commitment to speed and innovation. This program is designed to support our efforts to both expand our product offerings and our win ratio for new business."
Sal Akram, Senior. Vice President of Engineering, said of the program, "The Rapid Prototyping capability was developed by forming a dedicated team, stocking key inventory, and upgrading our on-site machine shop. Our customers are very excited about the new program and are extremely pleased with the early results."
