At the very least, Sigma-Aldrich can extract and provide concentrated human transferrin from the patients own blood plasma. Why not consider that possibility, until a synthetic could be considered?

Apart from being told a lot of its`advantages over TLD-1433 and its`good results in preclinical experiments against major cancers we haven`t been told much of the status of the drug and whether it might be used in humans. There is apparently safe synthetic transferrin (Optiferrin) which would address prion and virus concerns so given that it is less toxic as well as more effective than TLD-1433 it is surprising that it has not advanced to at least approval in principle and given that this is a simple incubation with transferrin of a complex compound (TLD-1433) you`d have thought that it would have been given the green light in humans by now.
