Puzzled and Baffled - $7,000 per flowing BOE/D???
Puzzled and Baffled - $7,000 per flowing BOE/D???I have absolutely no idea what would cause a drop in price today. Kitimat LNG approval has been discussed for most of this decade and here we are. LNG indicates that construction will start immediately. Where are all the buyers? I'm as loaded as I can be and I cannot find any reason why anyone would sell whatever they are holding. PONY has double digits stamped on its forehead.
Analysts will without a doubt be promoting the best producers in the area in the coming weeks. What about these points.
- 5 investing co's are pumping $40B of money into the opportunity.
- Have investors forgotten that there will be a $15B annual NG feesstock required in 5 years? Where is the NG coming from?
- Expect a tonne of M&A actiivity. The giants will be buying the small guys, not the reverse.
- PONY is currently profitable and growing production at 50% per year.
- And gas and Crude prices have increased.
- Look at the hedges in the investor presentation. Management is looking like rock stars.
- Winter started 3 months early in Western Canada. Cold winter on the horizon.
- NG supply is below averages.
- Insanely cheap valuation - MEG just acquired at $75,000 per flowing BOE/D. How is the undervalued top tier Montney producer Valued at a market cap of $7,000 per BOE/D?
I will be completely shocked if the stock buyers aren't on their way. I've been an energy investor for 20 years and any way you slice it, the opportunity within PONY is as good as it gets in this business.
