RE:RE:RE:Question on shortsBuying shares to cover can be done slowly and gradually after all the damage has been already done by flooding the market with shorts of shares not held in inventory, by manipulating the share price down, distorting the price and damaging the reputation and value perception of a company. Only if there is a short squeze would you see an equivalent recovery of a stock.  In most cases that does not happen and the value of a company is harmed indefinitely especially if they have to raise additional capital through a private placement at a much lower price!!
