1) Current battery suppliers to the military openly say so on their websites. There is no confidentiality agreement, the military is one of many clients. It's impressive to be accepted by the military because of trust, like uncle said, and challenging work envionment, extreme heat or cold or in the air or under water.
2) Compared to companies like Alabama graphite, they are quiet. Alabama graphite used to give a NR for anything remotely to do with DoD. And they were further away from getting a contract.
Now if they were working on some new technology not available for the public then yes, keep it quiet. Other than that the US Military are regular customers that have their suppliers go through a vetting process like any other battery customer.
