RE:RE:Q3 milled tons -39%

RE:RE:Q3 milled tons -39%

Compared tp q3 2017, they ran about 2k more Eagle River tons and 35k less Mishi tons.  They say the mishi ore is easier to process than the ER ore, so that might explain art of the difference, but certainly not all of it.  Something else must have impacted production at the mill.

However, the differences between Mishi and ER mitigate the impact of mill issues.  They would process all the ER ore before anything from Mishi, so the reduced throughput was entirely lower grade Mishi ore.  They processed 4k tons of Mishi ore, for 358 ounces.  If they had processed the same volume of ore as 2017, that would have added 32k tons milled, so that would have been about 2900 ounces more gold.  So a 39% improvement in mill throughput to get back to last year's level would only lead to a 12% increase in gold output.

Interesting to see the grade from Mishi this quarter was the highest ever.  They clearly had more ore available than mill time to processs it, so high grading the available ore is the right thing for management to do.  I don't expect to see that grade from Mishi going forward.
