SP Today

SP TodayMost of the better gold stocks had large shareprice increase today.....maybe not quite as good as KL but very good just the same. I presume this was not just gold price going up but a lot of short covering. I note that KL on the US narket had a million more shares trade today than yesterday.
Looking in the past it seems like a lot of shorts happened between $22 and $24 CAD so nice to see shorts buying it to close at a higher number. Poor shorts LOL.
I guess the bigger issue here is why the stock market correction. Interesting comment yesterday's CBC News interview of former prime minister Jean Cretin who observed that US tax reform has the wealthy paying almost nothing, so now US needs money. I guess this is why US imposes tariffs on foreign goods. Problem is the tariffs cause higher prices for goods which average joe in US pays for in the end price. Economies world wide are shaky at best. It'll be interesting to see where we are 6 months from now but expect gold to do well. Should we expect KL to surpass its all time high in next few weeks? KL Q3 results to be posted after market close Oct 30 so we'll see. GLTA.
