Highest Grading Gold MinesTo gain a little perspective on how special this gold discovery could be, I thought it would be interesting to research the highest grading gold mines currently in operation worldwide. The following article in Mining.com pretty much sums it up;
https://www.mining.com/highest-grade-gold-mines-2017/ According to the article, the Fosterville mine in Australia is currently by far the highest grading gold mine currently in operation. It is likely the major reason why Kirkland Lake Gold (TSX:KL) went from a struggling junior miner, trading in July of 2015 for under 2 dollars a share, to one of the more profitable gold producers (now trading at over 27 dollars per share).
The Fosterville mine did not start out as a high profile, high grading mine. While underground operations started in 2008, the mine operated with a respectable gold grade of 4.7 grams per tonne under the ownership of Crocodile Gold (some of you may remember that name). But it was not untill the high grade discoveries were made in 2016 and 2017 that investors started to take notice.
A similar story appears to be emerging with RNX.
