LP Licensee - what it may or may not mean for ChoomAs so many are worried about Choom's late applicants licenses, I think its important to remind ourselves that it has never been Choom's intention to strictly sell Choom branded products. This was made clear to me in one of the many conversations i've had with their IR contact.
In fact, currently, without those LP licensees, Choom would actually be eligible to open an unlimited amount of stores in Ontario, as they are by definition not currently considered a Licensed Producer.
As for supplies, a supply agreement is not necessary for a Private Retailer to re-sell products. For most western provinces as well as for Ontario (comes April 2019), the wholesaler will be the province, and all that will be needed for Choom or any other private retailer will be to obtain supply of any listed product with the province.
Note: In the meantime, when it comes to supplying Choom branded products, note that the supply agreement they have with VIVO is still in place. Also, VIVO is approved for a listing in most western provinces, as well as in Ontario. We also have to think of the partnership they have with Aurora, which opens to another great deal of possibilities.
What's left, Retail licenses or interim Retail licenses...who cares if they don't obtain those day one, tomorrow...they will eventually, soon, as most Private Retailers awaiting those will as well, because there's a demand for retail locations, and Provinces know it and they're working as fast as they can to review and approve every one of those hundreds of applications per province.
As many of us on the board have said by now - patience is key. If you believe in this company, if you've studied it and agree with the way the Choom team has been executing since late 2017, don't let any of the current trends deter you. Stick around. You'll be thanking yourselves.
Not a pumper or a basher or whather names people call eachothers on this board. I'm just an investor, and this is what I know and believe.
THanks,
Jan
