There wasn't mention of a "major" version previously. Blockstrain will need to put their best foot forward to gain attention and traction. Deploying a version with known flaws would only cause confusion and hurt the company... as well as allow competition to view their platform. And there really is no point in releasing pre-legalization, when there is no practical application. From their response, it appears that they came across unknown variables that needed to be incorporated.
