RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:reducing costHi Nilyab,

My concerns would be about landownership and access. SouthWest NS attracts more people to its shores than the Moose River district. Including a number of university teachers, lawyers, doctors etc.  I would expect the populace there to have a firm grasp on the value of the land and potentially be more discerning on the environmental and societal impacts of a mime. It could take them years and many lawyers to open a pit in that area.

In afdition ttheir community consultations will now inclufe their experiences at Moose River and not just promises. They will need to demonstrate the good they have done. So far the experiences in Moose River have been less than stellar with too much employee turnover and little to no community enhancement. Most mines take an active part in their communities and promote it on their website. You don’t see that with AGC and you don’t hear about the problems on the road. I believe the only photo of their employees was one that showed up on this blog of two guys holding a gold painted block of slag or copper to which someone on this blog called them Golders.

It won’t just be a matter of how much gold is kind there, it will also be a matter of who, if anybody, can gain access to the district to mine it.
