Judging by the recent trading, there has been some significant positioning before GC next earnings around Nov 9th. From the latest short report (Oct 1st to 15th) number of shares short has increased by 115994. Stock has been dropped down to $43.50 per share as of Oct 15th, from $47.07 as of Oct 1st. Not surprisingly during this 2 week period 3 very large option positions were established while the stock has been at suppressed levels. The November $46 and $44 put contracts were seemingly sold (nearly 1000 of each) and the $48 Nov call (1250) looks to have been purchased. Should be very interesting next month.
