Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

This kind of a Equity Stake would most certainly come down to "CONTROL"
look at the Constellations Brand deal,

Upon the closing of the Transaction, expected on or about October 31st and subject to remaining regulatory approvals, the composition of the board of directors will be reconstituted. Specifically, Murray Goldman and Chris Schnarr will be removed as directors effective as of the closing of the Transaction, and William Newlands, David Klein and Judy Schmeling will be elected as directors of the Company as nominees of CBG.

The founding members of Aphria may be struggling with this conudrum, the CB deal is effectively a take over of Weed. Is Vic prepared to sign on for this??? They may decided to go it alone, grow organically, if this is the case get ready for a massive BD 1/2 billion or more, Raptor

With rec cash flow starting to flow in, no urgency for a BD even if Aphria decides to go it alone.

Aphria is positioned such that they can determine their own fate!  A partner wants to join at the right price and synergies, great!  A big dog wants to take them out at the right price, great!

But Aphria is in the driver’s seat in this sector, ignore stock volatility!  Others are on the outside looking in, the price of admission increases as time goes on.

Within a year Aphria will demonstrate capability and financials that will be the envy of the sector!  It will happen with or without a partner!  A partner can definitely strengthen the Aphria organization but that works both ways and price of admission must be paid.

No discount for world class capability!  And the cash is flowing in that funds organic growth!  NYSE expands the capital pool!

Everybody close their eyes and play the Guns N Roses song in their head, “Patience “!
