Question for Our Grower Savvy Growers ?

Question for Our Grower Savvy Growers ?I admit I know little about the growing process but have a question for who is in the know. I heard something from a friend that has me excited if true and I am now doing my research. He tells me you can actually trick the plants into a faster veg and flower time. A slight adjustment in a controlled atmosphere where you **slowly** bring down veg time by a couple hours  and flower slowly by an hour. When added up over time for example instead of a 8 week strain would knock it down to 7 week. ** This time savings would add up to an Extra Crop per year. ** Has anyone heard of this ?? I am of the opinion this stock hasn't blasted off from these levels because of overall Market Turmoil. DOW and TSX have been shaky.
