RE:RE:So much for $50 by end of year....I thought we would be at $55 by end of December 2018, and I'm with you that it makes no sense to me how we can be below the end of June price (i.e. the pre-Line 3 decision).
This stock has been my largest holding and also by far the most frustrating one I have owned. It was supposed to be my "safe pick", but has declined far more than even my riskier tech and biotech stocks.
As others wiser than me have said, collect the dividend and wait for a recovery. To answer your question about recession performance, I actually think that ENB would be a stock you want to hold in a recession, since one can reduce the number of cars and shiny new phones purchased during a recession, but as the BC pipeline explosion has shown us, you still have to heat your house when winter comes.
I think about selling this thing daily, so I won't tell you to hold, but I'd say tune out 50-60% of the news you hear (good and bad), because the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.
