How long does a lawsuit take?

How long does a lawsuit take?Does anyone have any idea how long it will take for a lawsuit of this nature to resolve itself, assuming no deals are worked out between the plantiff and defendant before trial. I guess we all knew that this day was coming. Let us all hope that the final verdict is in our favour.
