Yup, I’ve heard all this doom & gloom several times before. At least every six months you here it, then bamm..big money took their position and everything is ok again until the next big short cover...rinse and repeat!

Walterthedog wrote: That really is the big question isn't it. Lots of factors at play but you can bet your a$$ that any stock price will be connected to the bigger picture in a big way and many indicators are pointing towards a bigger correction or even a catastrophic economic failure. Sounds dramatic but listening to peter shif and others who called the last couple collapses, they are even more certain of this one and more worried about the doomsday scenario that seems likely to play out sooner than later. Of course these events can be great oportunitys for those who know its happening and who have patience. one look at the S&P 500 will tell you we have pushed this ponzi scheme to the limit. With interest rates rising, the practice of borrowing money for stock buy backs to raise SPs for big corporations will no longer be viable and earnings will fall short. The US economy is in a bubble and when it pops the Fed wont be able to bail out all the worthless bonds they have handed out across the globe and the dollar will plummet. Or optimistic retailers keep pumping that bubble up and valuations get ever harder to justify. Its just a time bomb at this point but I would be surprised if it all doesn't come to a head by next year at the latest
